About the Artist

Angela Rose is the self-taught jewelry artist behind BLUMA. She began making jewelry in 2016 as a hobby, but popularity and demand quickly led to an Etsy shop, wholesale and consignment accounts, and artisan markets. After an accident in 2018 that left her homebound for several months, she decided to pursue jewelry full-time. Originally working under the name Brass&Pebble, in 2024 Angela rebranded as BLUMA. Bluma is a Yiddish name meaning “flower” and is an ode to her namesake, her Jewish great-grandmother Rose.

A mountain girl through and through, Angela was born in Montana, raised in Wyoming, and now resides in the Appalachian foothills of Tennessee. She and her husband renovated a dilapidated 1930s cottage that they live in with their daughter and two black cats. When not making jewelry, Angela enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and swimming, or curled up with a good book.
